I did the San Gabriel/rio hondo ride today
I did a little excursion on my own first

we then headed down the LA RIO (Rio Hondo/ Los Angeles rivers) trail to long beach. At this time of year the Rio Hondo is dry:

Most people think of LA as a movie town, but really it was built more on oil and aircraft. I'd suggest you watch "There will be blood" or checkout a copy of OIL! by Upton Sinclair
now I've got to figure if want to ride my bike to church tomorrow. I've also got to check out part of a Rando route
