dodging the rain

I woke up yesterday, all ready for a ride. Until I walked out the door. Rain. So I changed ans went out and did a lap of crossgates mall and then Colonie center. Good for about an hour and a half. Afternoon, it cleared out. a little: The Half Moon is here until next weekend: The colors have just started: Turn around was in Troy: Today, much the same. It was raing when I went to church. I thought I would get an afternoon ride, but when I got outside, it started to rain agian. Oh well.

walkway over the Hudson

Yesterday, I did the Walkway over the Hudson. It's an old railroad bridge in Poughkeepsie that is now the world's longest footbridge Starting off in Lloyd, NY Old singal: 200 Feet above the hudson: A needed improvement. They'e had several folks jump off: Sculling: The Mid Hudson Bridge: Poughkeepsie, NY: End of the Line: Old caboose and station: Another part of the old Railbad is now the Dutchess Rail Trai: End of the line in Hopewell Junction: A nice horse farm: and to wind up the day, 75 miles on the Taconic parkway:
