Well, yesterday was my 52nd birthday. I started out at Crossgates: and then next door, to the world's largest Walmart: and then headed over to the Downtube for a set of pedals: Before heading to Troy and Lunch at Dinosuar BBQ:

It was thirty-two when I woke up on Saturday, so no riding. I made Pimento Cheese instead: Nice basic dish(Mayo, Cheddar, and Pimentos), although I probably shouldn't have used the Olove Oil Base Mayo. I headed across the river for My Hair appoinment: Stopped at the bike shop for their sale: Before heading to Massachusetts and the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail: Nice trail, if a little short at 11 miles. End in Adams: Old Factory: so Nice: Today, I have flat that took me an hour to fix. Of course, I was in Troy: It was a pinhc flat, which I've been seeming to get a lot oif lately. May have to confine the recumebent to trail, and keep the 7300 for street duty.

It was 17 for the high yesterday. Saturday was almost balmy at 25.
Probably not good biking weather:

I did drop in at L.L. Bean got a belt to keep my pants on (Yay!), and signed up for snowshoeing class, and bought a multi-tool from the Downtube.
I also stopped by the Albany Institute of History and Art:


It had been bugging me since I drive by it on the way home from church. It was a deal at $8.00, but not worth going out of your for.

did it work? maybe, I did try a different route and found the uncle sam bike path in Troy:

I even got brave and made it up the hill to the Cathedral:

and since it was small business Saturday:

bought a tube, and got a reward:

and I did stop at the Empire state plaza:


and as far as Memphis - I've been trying to put a happier song (at least in tempo) on my mind:

well, until you listen to lyrics. I always wondered about who wrote this song, as Johnny Rivers did seem to be a southsider , I can still remember the looks Dad got when he mentioned he went to Southside HS. Turns out, it was written by Chuck Berry, Ahh, makes sense (and a Saint Louis Connection)
