40 days and 40 nights
Well, at least it seems like it's been raining for that long. Last morning looked like a break, so off I went:
The Depot at Crescent Hadn't washed away:
and neither had the falls, but it was a lot more water than normal:
Had a donut for Don:
and took a tour of the Port of Albany:
Wind Turbine blades from GE:
and a Caboose:
I then rode past the Ghost bike on my way home:
Today, it was supposed to rain in the afternoon, which it did. The only fatality was a Beaver dam. "I wanted to use oak wood, but you said to use pine. Easier to gnaw. Now look at the mess you've gotten us in to!")

Riding with the Dead
I was debating what to do this morning. I knew I wanted to ride, but the weather called for 20 mph winds with 50mph gusts.
I decided on the Corning trail. Need to march off those pounds? I do:
Stopping at the Troy lock gave me another idea:
Not many folks out:
and Cohoes falls is really going:
and I made a stop at Dunkin to Honor Nancy and Don with a boston creme:
and tomorrow? a different kind of ride:

This post is illegal in Uzbekstan
That wasn't quite what I had in mind, I tried to put three song in , but you tube blocked it everywhere but Western Samoa. I Know who much Don liked the song,so it was relatively to make the decision to duplicate it,
For an experiment, I tried the other somg by themselves:
That worked good, although You tube did some funky stuff with the borders, so let's try the other one:
I did cheat here and use the Millon Dollat Quarter version, which is only Illegal in Germany. I had tired using the version with the Imperials, the Gospel Quartet Elvis used after he (acutally Colonel Parker) had a Falling out with the Jordanaires:
.
So son, I tried, but them money grubbing music companies got in my way. RIP buudy, and enjoy lots of ride on Katrina

Donald's donut ride
My Internet Freind Donald Boothby, posted that his cancer had spread, and I posited in BikeJournal.com that would be a good idea to do a bicycle/donut eating ride for him.
I started out on the Mohawk Hudson. This is an old Warehouse in Watervliet:
The Troy locks:
and back on the Mohawk Hudson:
pausing at Cohoes Falls:
and finally:
Downtown Albany:
and looking back home at Rensselaer:
